[Breaking] 28 Confirmed Dead in Muan Airport Plane Crash

At around 9:07 a.m. on the 29th, a passenger aircraft crashed on the runway of Muan International Airport located in Mangun-myeon, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The aircraft was Jeju Flight 2216, traveling from Bangkok, Thailand to Muan, carrying a total of 181 people, including 175 passengers and 6 crew members.
The plane crashed while attempting to land on the runway at Muan International Airport, colliding with the runway's outer wall, breaking in half, and catching fire.
Currently, two people have been rescued from the rear of the aircraft, and it has been confirmed that 28 passengers have died.
The number of casualties is expected to rise when including those in the front and middle sections of the aircraft.
The aircraft broke in half and caught fire after colliding with the runway's outer wall.
The police and fire authorities have initially extinguished the aircraft fire and are conducting rescue operations starting from the rear of the plane.
