Nomination Approval Bill for Supreme Court Justice Candidate Mayongju Passes National Assembly
On the 27th, the National Assembly passed the appointment consent bill for Supreme Court Justice nominee Ma Yong-ju in a plenary session.
The National Assembly announced that the consent bill for nominee Ma was approved by a secret ballot, with 186 votes in favor, 5 against, and 2 abstentions out of 193 members present.
Earlier, the National Assembly's Special Committee on Personnel Hearings, attended only by opposition party members, held a personnel hearing for nominee Ma and adopted a personnel hearing report expressing a 'qualified' opinion.
