View original imageAmbassador Dai stated in a written speech after arriving at Gimpo Airport on the afternoon of the 27th, "We hope to strengthen cooperation with South Korea to promote peace and stability in the region and mutually support the successful hosting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings." He added, "While safeguarding the international free trade system, we hope to create favorable environments and conditions for the joint development of both countries and for solidarity and cooperation within the international community."
South Korea will host the Gyeongju APEC Summit next year, and China is the host country in 2026.
Ambassador Dai emphasized, "(The Korea-China relationship) is at an important stage of inheriting the past and pioneering the future," adding, "The two countries are close neighbors who cannot move away from each other and inseparable partners, and cooperation between the two countries carries a high degree of reciprocity and strategic significance." He further stated, "Strengthening friendly cooperation best aligns with the fundamental interests of both countries," and "We will actively develop the China-Korea strategic cooperative partnership."
