"Xi Jinping to Visit Russia Again Next Year... Plans for Events Between the Two Countries"
Chinese President Xi Jinping is reported to plan to visit Russia again next year to meet with President Vladimir Putin.
Igor Morgulov, Russian Ambassador to China, said on the 27th to the Russian state-run news agency RIA Novosti, "It is no secret that the Chinese President is expected to visit Russia next year." He added, "Appropriate plans are actively being prepared regarding specific events between the two countries."
President Xi and President Putin, who have been strengthening strategic cooperation compared to the Western camp including the United States and the European Union (EU), have held three meetings this year alone, demonstrating close ties.
President Xi visited Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, last October to attend the BRICS summit, and President Putin made a state visit to China in May at Xi's invitation.

The two leaders also reaffirmed their friendly relations when they met in Kazakhstan last July during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, a regional security consultative body led by the two countries.
