Jeon Seung-il, chairman of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced on the 27th that he recently received the ‘Chairman Award of the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee’ at the 9th Korea Welfare TV Sharing Practice Welfare Awards.

Chairman Jeon was recognized for his efforts in enacting policies and ordinances for the socially vulnerable, including the ‘Elderly Cane Support Ordinance,’ the ‘Ordinance on Sharing and Using Cars Equipped with Wheelchair Boarding Equipment for Elderly with Mobility Difficulties,’ and the ‘Sign Language Activation Support Ordinance.’
