SOOP to Live Stream '2024 Streamer Awards' on 28th... First Event After Rebranding
The live streaming platform SOOP announced on the 27th that it will broadcast the "2024 SOOP Streamer Awards with NH Kok Bank" live.
The event, which will be held from 5 PM the next day, is the first awards ceremony since the company changed its name and service from AfreecaTV to SOOP and underwent rebranding.
Since the 6th, SOOP has been sequentially announcing 20 Rookie Award winners and 104 Streamers of the Year, selected as the top 0.1% based on broadcasting metrics, through the "2024 SOOP Awards" page. Notably, among the Streamers of the Year, one winner from each category?game, sports, and visible radio?will receive the grand prize at this ceremony, drawing significant attention.
Before the event starts, pre-booths will be operated for the on-site audience. Various booths such as fan sign events with popular streamers Woojeong-ing, Park Ppippi, GPT, Wanana, as well as goods zones, event zones, and virtual play zones will be available.
In the first part of the event, the virtual idol group "Isekai Idol" will perform a congratulatory stage, followed by the award ceremony for this year’s game streamer announced earlier. The second part will feature the Rookie Award ceremony and awards for this year’s sports streamer and visible radio streamer. The third part will announce special awards, the NH Kok Bank Award, the three grand prize winners from the game, sports, and visible radio categories, and the content grand prize winner.
Additionally, the "Lucky Draw" event, which received great responses from streamers and users last year, will be held again this year.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held simultaneously offline, online, and on SOOP’s virtual reality platform "Freeblocks."
