Gyeonggi Fire Department Selects 5 Sites Including Suwon Station for Creative Safety Awards
The Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters selected three institutions, including Suwon Station, and two individuals as recipients of the ‘Gyeonggi Creative Safety Award’.
The Gyeonggi Creative Safety Award was introduced by the provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters in the first half of this year to discover and reward individuals and institutions that have contributed to disaster prevention with creative and innovative ideas, thereby enhancing pride and a sense of mission in safety work.
The selected institutions are ▲Suwon Station ▲DB HiTek ▲Korea Veterans Welfare and Medical Service Namyangju Veterans Hospital.
In the individual category, Yeon Seok-mo, former fire safety manager of Gwacheon Central Park Prugio Summit Apartment, and Na Gil-su, fire safety manager of Lotte Chilsung Beverage Co., Ltd. Uijeongbu Branch, were selected. They will be awarded commendations from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province.
Jo Seon-ho, head of the provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "The Gyeonggi Creative Safety Award has great significance in fostering a safety culture through direct participation of residents," and emphasized, "We will continue to actively support creative and effective safety management measures."
