‘Would you like to 우주’ is a specialized aerospace education program for middle school students created by Hanwha Aerospace in collaboration with the social welfare foundation ‘Children and Future Foundation.’ It has been conducted annually since 2022, providing participating students with opportunities to increase their interest in the aerospace field and consider it as a future career path.
This year, the aerospace science class was held for about five months from August to December, targeting over 170 students from seven middle schools located near Hanwha Aerospace business sites nationwide, including Changwon, Daejeon, and Yeosu. The program combined theoretical education in aerospace topics such as the structure and principles of aircraft engines, launch propulsion systems, and energy physics, along with hands-on model-making activities.
Considering that the program takes place during the school semester, all sessions were conducted by professional instructors and Hanwha employees who visited each school directly to reduce the burden on students.
