Ministry of Employment and Labor Yangsan Branch Office, Full Effort on Employment Stability and Livelihood Support
Full Mobilization of Available Resources Including Operation of 'Regional Employment Situation Check and Livelihood Support TF'
Monitoring Regional Employment and Livelihood Status, Customized Support for Vulnerable Workplaces and Workers
On the 26th, Kwon Gu-hyung, head of the Yangsan branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, conducted an on-site visit to workplaces implementing employment retention measures to inspect the employment situation and provide consulting on customized support systems.
Director Kwon visited a plastic manufacturing company located in Juchon-myeon, Gimhae, which is implementing temporary closure and leave due to decreased deliveries and sales, as well as an automobile parts manufacturing company in the Sanmak Industrial Complex, Yangsan. He inspected the current status of employment retention measures, listened to difficulties, and then provided consulting on customized support systems such as employment retention subsidies.
The employment retention subsidy is a system that supports a portion of the wages paid by employers who maintain employment through employment retention measures without dismissing workers, despite unavoidable employment adjustments due to deteriorating sales.
The Yangsan branch has already proactively operated the ‘Local Employment Situation Inspection and Livelihood Support TF’ to provide customized support for vulnerable groups such as workplaces facing employment crises and small business owners. Through ‘Local Employment Situation Inspection Meetings,’ it plans to collaborate with related organizations such as local governments and chambers of commerce and connect support systems.
