Jeonnam Office of Education Publishes White Paper on 'All-Embracing Classrooms and Inclusive Schools'
Introduction of School Cases and Jeonnam-style Space Reorganization
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 26th that it has published a white paper titled "Classrooms That Make Everything Possible, Schools That Embrace All: The Fourth Story," documenting the school space restructuring project.
This white paper records the process of educational space innovation, focusing on 31 cases from the school space restructuring projects carried out in 2022-2023, as well as including examples from three schools completed since the start of the space restructuring (formerly Green Smart School) initiative in 2021.
The white paper provides detailed introductions to the seven core types of Jeonnam-style space reconfiguration: ▲play spaces ▲learning spaces ▲living spaces ▲creative spaces ▲ecological spaces ▲community-linked spaces ▲educational support spaces.

In addition, it covers key elements of the space restructuring (formerly Green Smart School) project such as green schools, smart classrooms, spatial restructuring, school complexification, safety, and regional specialization.
The white paper will be distributed through the Provincial Office of Education's website and to elementary, middle, and high schools within the jurisdiction, aiming to share various examples of space reconfiguration and present a vision for creating future educational environments.
This year, the Provincial Office of Education is implementing the space restructuring project at a total of 14 schools, including one affiliated kindergarten, four elementary schools, three middle schools, and six high schools. In 2025, an additional 15 schools will be selected for support. Through these efforts, the office is striving to create spaces that enable improved learning environments and the operation of future-oriented curricula.
Kim Jonghun, head of the Green Smart Future School Promotion Team, stated, "This white paper will play a significant role in publicizing the achievements of the Provincial Office of Education's school space restructuring and sharing the vision for creating future educational environments," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create spaces for life and learning that are connected to the curriculum."
