Police Chief Jo Ji-ho Requests Suspension of Detention Due to Health Deterioration
Regarding the 12·3 Emergency Martial Law incident, Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho, who was arrested on charges of engaging in important duties related to internal rebellion, is reported to have requested a suspension of detention execution.

View original imageAccording to the legal community on the 24th, Commissioner Jo's side recently requested the Special Investigation Headquarters for Emergency Martial Law under the prosecution to allow him to receive hospital treatment by suspending the execution of his detention.
Commissioner Jo, who is battling blood cancer, had been staying in a detention center and receiving outpatient treatment after being transferred to the prosecution, but his condition is reported to have recently worsened. The prosecution is expected to review Commissioner Jo's request and decide whether to grant the suspension.
