Icheon-si Launches 'Dudream Health On Bus' for Visits to Medically Underserved Areas

Equipped with Medical Devices... Visits 3 to 4 Times a Month

A mobile bus equipped with medical equipment will operate in Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, providing medical services by visiting vulnerable areas on a rotating basis.

On the 24th, Icheon-si announced that it held the opening ceremony for the "Dudream Health ON Bus" at the Singal 1-ri Senior Center in Moga-myeon to implement the "Village-based Primary Care Physician System," a pledge of the 8th local government administration, and officially started its operation.

The "Dudream ON Bus" is a mobile bus equipped with medical devices that visits medically vulnerable areas 3 to 4 times a month, offering integrated health management services such as ▲ Korean medicine treatment and consultation ▲ blood pressure and blood sugar tests ▲ dementia and depression screening ▲ physical therapy ▲ joint contracture prevention programs ▲ oral health consultation and smoking cessation counseling.

About 100 people, including Mayor Kim Kyung-hee of Icheon, city council members, and residents, attended the opening ceremony. Mayor Kim said, "Through the Dudream Health ON Bus, we will provide regular medical and health management services to residents in vulnerable areas to create a healthy, vibrant, and happy Icheon."
