Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 24th that the ‘Cultural Autonomy Open Day × Christmas Festa’ held recently at the ‘Yangju Life Culture Center’ ended successfully with many citizens attending.

View original imageThis event was designed to share the achievements of the ‘2024 Cultural Autonomy Activation Project’ by offering various programs such as exhibitions, performances, and experiences where citizens could directly experience cultural autonomy, creating a festive year-end atmosphere.
In particular, groups, cooperatives, and cultural activists discovered through the ‘Cultural Autonomy Activation Project’ participated directly in celebratory performances, experiences, and exhibitions at the achievement sharing meeting, leading a space for interaction and empathy with citizens, drawing attention.
The event began with an opening ceremony, followed by presentations reporting the achievements of the cultural autonomy activation project over the past three years, and presentations of outstanding activity cases by cultural autonomy participants for 2024, sharing the meaning and value of cultural autonomy.
Additionally, in the first-floor lobby, various experiences and cultural autonomy activity sharing exhibitions were held under the year-end Christmas theme, including ▲making Moru dolls ▲making masks ▲making mood lamps ▲making terrariums ▲making Minhwa tumblers, adding fun to the event.
Furthermore, the stage program featured diverse and rich busking performances, guitar ensembles, and children’s choir performances, reportedly offering warm comfort and joy to the citizens.
