Korea Research Foundation Signs 'Audit Work Advancement Agreement' with Four National and Public Hospitals
Multilateral Cooperation Among Seoul National University Hospital, Dental Hospital, and Chungnam and Chungbuk National University Hospitals
On the 23rd, the National Research Foundation of Korea announced on the 24th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at its headquarters in Daejeon with Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul National University Dental Hospital, Chungnam National University Hospital, and Chungbuk National University Hospital to advance audit operations and improve audit quality.

View original imageThese institutions have established independent audit bodies guaranteed by the Act on Public Audits, conducting internal audit activities that investigate, inspect, verify, analyze, and confirm their operations and activities, and derive and process results.
According to the agreement, they will strengthen mutual communication and cooperation through ▲ sharing audit systems and techniques ▲ mutual personnel support for joint and cross audits ▲ exchange of information on excellent internal control areas and mutual support for vulnerable areas ▲ cooperative activities to promote management innovation and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management ▲ collaboration in operating educational programs.
This agreement was initiated based on mutual understanding that by promoting national research and development projects and public healthcare projects utilizing public funds, it contributes to the advancement of academia and science and technology as well as the improvement of public health. It also embodies the commitment of the internal audit bodies to modernize audit operations and enhance work quality through sharing audit systems and techniques, thereby fulfilling their responsibility to the public.
Kang Seong-sik, Standing Auditor of the National Research Foundation of Korea, stated, "Taking this MOU as an opportunity, we will do our best to enhance public trust in the Foundation by actively cooperating among the signatory institutions to efficiently and proactively respond to the changing audit environment, solidify internal control systems, and lead management innovation and ESG management."
