Mayor Lee Jae-jun Operates Final 'On-site Mayor's Office' of the Year at Suwon Cheoncheon Overpass and Sangwanggyo-dong
On the 23rd, Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon, held the final 'Saebit On-site Mayor's Office' of the year at the Cheoncheon Overpass and Sangwanggyo-dong drainage maintenance sites to inspect the progress of the projects.
Mayor Lee first visited the Cheoncheon Overpass, which residents of Jeongja 3-dong requested for maintenance at the Saebit Meeting in the Jangan-gu area last August.
The wooden deck path of the Cheoncheon Overpass had worn and uneven spots in several places, and some of the sidewalk blocks in front of the overpass were damaged.
In November, Suwon City demolished part of the sidewalk and wooden deck in front of the overpass and carried out maintenance. A second phase of wooden deck maintenance is scheduled for February to March next year.
Mayor Lee urged, "Ensure that the second phase of maintenance work is completed without any issues so that citizens can cross the overpass safely." He also added to the residents who joined the on-site mayor's office, "Please feel free to inform Suwon City anytime if you experience any inconveniences in daily life."

The drainage channel requested for maintenance was damaged due to soil erosion caused by heavy rain in 2022, and temporary measures had been taken.
Suwon City participated in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's '2025 Greenbelt Resident Support Project Contest,' and the Sangwanggyo-dong drainage channel was selected, securing a project budget of 340 million KRW. The detailed design will begin in January next year, and construction is scheduled to be completed by May. The maintenance section is 280 meters long.
