Dong-Eui University Selected for KOICA 2025 International Development Cooperation Awareness Enhancement Project
Opening of the Course on 'International Development Cooperation and Global Business'... Including Activities in Vietnam
Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) was recently selected for KOICA's (Korea International Cooperation Agency) '2025 University International Development Cooperation Awareness Enhancement Project' and will operate the project for one year from February 2025 to February 2026.
This project, supported by KOICA, aims to enhance university students' understanding of international development cooperation and ODA (Official Development Assistance), as well as to foster career exploration and develop experts in related fields. Dong-Eui University will offer the course 'International Development Cooperation and Global Business' in the 2025 academic year.
'International Development Cooperation and Global Business' is a liberal arts course for students in their 2nd to 4th years. The course will be taught by Professor Lee Jae-seung from the Department of Trade, Professor Kim Eun-ji from the Department of Foreign Languages, and KOICA-dispatched professors. The curriculum covers the history and recent trends of international development cooperation, social values, and aims to enhance overall understanding of international development cooperation.
In particular, students who demonstrate outstanding performance in the ODA group project will be given the special opportunity to visit project sites in developing countries, participate in local activities in Vietnam, and engage in exchanges with students from the National University of Hanoi.

Professor Lee Jae-seung, the project leader, stated, "In the era of globalization, as members of the international community, we will operate the curriculum to instill the importance of international development cooperation and practical participation awareness, and to cultivate global talents equipped with a future-oriented vision by integrating international development cooperation and international business."
