Uijeongbu City Appreciates the Efforts of Green Mothers in Preventing Children's Traffic Accidents

View original imageAbout 100 people attended the event, including members of the Uijeongbu City Green Mothers' Union who have worked hard to prevent children's traffic accidents, Mayor Kim Dong-geun, City Council Chairman Kim Yeon-gyun, Provincial Assembly members Kim Jeong-young and Oh Seok-gyu, City Council Urban Environment Committee Chair Kim Tae-eun, and Won Soon-ja, Director of Uijeongbu Education Support Office.
The attendees watched a video showcasing various activities such as the Green Mothers' traffic safety campaigns and visiting traffic safety education aimed at preventing traffic accidents, reflecting on this year’s traffic safety volunteer activities.
In particular, to encourage the efforts of the Uijeongbu City Green Mothers' Union, which has been steadily conducting traffic safety campaigns for children’s school commutes since its establishment in 2005, certificates of commendation and appreciation from the mayor and related organizations were awarded to about 20 outstanding members.
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Kim Dong-geun expressed deep gratitude, saying, “Thanks to the Green Mothers who have always participated in traffic safety campaigns with bright faces, the school commute routes for children have become much safer over the past year.”
