Ulsan Education Information Center Develops Digital Textbook to Help 1st Grade Elementary Students Adapt to School

The Ulsan Education Research Information Center (Director Kim Kyung-hee) recently announced on the 23rd that it has developed the textbook "We Are First Graders" to help first-grade elementary school newcomers adapt to school, and distributed it as an e-book.
This textbook development was created in response to the demands of field teachers for school adaptation educational activities during the early admission period. The textbook was produced in three types: student edition, activity materials, and teacher's guide, aimed at helping first-grade elementary students adapt to school and improve basic learning skills.
In December, the Research Information Center uploaded the "We Are First Graders" textbook on the Ulsan Education Research Information Center website and the Ulsan Education e-Book platform. The textbook includes content such as school adaptation, forming friendships, learning safe living habits, and building basic learning skills. It incorporates various activity materials and guidance resources considering students' developmental stages and the needs of school sites.
The textbook was developed with 3 units and 34 lessons. The student edition allows classes to be reorganized according to the characteristics of the school and students, and the activity materials include lesson-specific teaching resources to be used flexibly in the field.

The teacher's guide consists of lesson objectives, learning activities, and reference materials, enabling teachers to creatively design lessons. Educational materials and reference videos are also provided on the elementary teachers' class management support website, allowing parents of first-grade elementary newcomers to preview the textbook in advance.
