Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) held the '2024 After-School Education Support Project Performance Sharing Meeting' on the 19th to share the possibilities and value of after-school education with the local community.
This event shared the achievements of the '2024 After-School Education Support Project,' which was promoted to support the holistic growth and development of children and adolescents, encouraged the efforts of participants, and discussed the future direction of after-school education.
In addition, the district prepared various programs such as ▲exhibition of educational achievements ▲after-school education experience activities ▲recreation, creating a meaningful opportunity to promote communication and cooperation between the local community and educational institutions.
The representative programs of this year's Gwanak-gu after-school education support project include ▲Todak Todak Village School ▲SG Future School Campus ▲Future Filling GO, which are notable for enhancing the diversity and creativity of education through cooperation with the local community.
First, the ‘SG Future School Campus’ operated a career design and customized learning support program for high school students in collaboration with Seoul National University, providing students with practical opportunities for college admission and career exploration.
Also, ‘Future Filling GO’ collaborated with Seoul National University College of Education to operate experiment and practice programs focused on science and mathematics, offering out-of-school learning experiences in preparation for the full implementation of the high school credit system, which received great responses from students.
In particular, ‘Todak Todak Village School’ received great acclaim for creating a rich educational ecosystem within the village by providing creative and diverse educational opportunities to elementary and middle school students based on local content through cooperation between local residents and the educational community.
The district plans to continue to make every effort to enhance the creativity and diversity of after-school education by utilizing excellent local educational resources and to establish a rich educational ecosystem for children and adolescents.
