Comfortable Access to the Summit for Pedestrians with Mobility Challenges... Gijang-gun Opens Ilgwangsan Baramnuri-gil Trail
Busan's Gijang-gun opened the 'Ilgwangsan Baramnuri-gil' on the 20th to allow even the mobility-impaired to safely and comfortably enjoy nature.
Ilgwangsan Baramnuri-gil is a deck road approximately 750 meters long, stretching from Baramjae to the summit of Ilgwangsan. It was promoted to improve the quality of life for residents by providing a safe forest recreation space within the city.
The entire Baramnuri-gil is constructed as a deck road, designed so that even the mobility-impaired can safely and comfortably experience the forest. While the existing Ilgwangsan climbing trail had inconveniences such as obstacles in some sections, the Baramnuri-gil deck road now allows people with disabilities, the elderly, and families with strollers to safely and comfortably experience the forest.
The county expects that the creation of Baramnuri-gil will not only enhance residents' quality of life through expanded green welfare but also establish the Ilgwangsan area as a convenient attraction for external tourists, contributing to the development of the local economy.
