Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 20th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the 2024 Korea Local Autonomy Competitiveness Index analysis conducted by the Korea Institute of Public Administration and received a certificate on the 19th.

View original imageThe Korea Institute of Public Administration is a specialized research institute supporting productivity improvement in the public sector and regional development. Since 1996, it has annually surveyed statistical data from 226 local governments nationwide and analyzed competitiveness indices in three areas: management resources, management activities, and management performance.
Goyang Special City showed excellent results with a score of 228.5 out of 300 in the management resources category, which surveyed human resources, urban infrastructure, and industrial base, and was selected as one of the local governments with high local autonomy competitiveness.
In particular, efforts to improve the city's transportation and industrial infrastructure, such as ▲ development of the Daegok Station area knowledge convergence complex ▲ designation as the first venture promotion district in northern Gyeonggi ▲ creation of a mini hydrogen city, received favorable evaluations.
