Uijeongbu-si, 10 Violations of Wastewater Discharge Facilities Detected in 2024
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 20th that it inspected over 140 wastewater discharge facilities and detected 10 violations of the Water Environment Conservation Act.
The inspection covered whether unreported wastewater discharge facilities were installed, whether wastewater discharge facilities and water pollution prevention facilities were operating normally, and compliance with discharge permit standards.
As a result of the inspection, the violations included ▲1 case exceeding discharge permit standards ▲8 cases related to operation logs ▲1 case of failure to report, and administrative and fine penalties were imposed on the respective businesses.
