View original imageThe Daejeon Metropolitan Council announced that it achieved a Grade 2 rating in the 2024 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
The Daejeon Metropolitan Council received a Grade 3 in perceived integrity and a Grade 2 in integrity efforts, resulting in an overall integrity rating of Grade 2, which is an improvement of one level compared to last year.
The council has worked to raise its level of integrity in the latter half of the 9th term by revising ordinances related to the payment of council members' activity expenses and the code of ethics and ethical practice standards for council members.
Chairman Cho Wonhui stated, "Thanks to the efforts and cooperation of the council members, we have improved our overall integrity rating by one level compared to last year," and added, "We will not be satisfied with this result and will do our best to spread a culture of integrity so that the council can earn the trust of citizens."
