Democratic Party Selects 'Outstanding Lawmakers for National Assembly Audit'
Jeon Jinsook, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (representing Buk-gu-eul, Gwangju), announced on the 19th that a "Report on Impeachment to Overcome Rebellion! Buk-gu-eul Party Members' Convention for National Stability" will be held at the Gwangju Transportation Culture Training Center Convention Hall on the afternoon of the 21st.
Under the theme "Six Hours of Darkness, Eleven Days of Gloom," there will be a session to present to party members the key events from the "December 3 Martial Law Incident" to the passage of the impeachment bill in the National Assembly, as well as the procedures that will unfold in the future.
Additionally, there will be a badge awarding ceremony and commendation presentation for party members who have maintained their membership for over 20 years, along with a report on the activities of the Buk-gu-eul Regional Committee, which held daily one-person picket protests with over 30 participants for the impeachment.
Jeon explained the purpose of the event, saying, "Citizens of Gwangju and the people of the Republic of Korea have made the impeachment of Yoon Sukyeol possible. As the time for dismissal approaches, we have prepared this opportunity to inform party members and citizens about the developments so far."
She added, "Even in this rebellion, I discovered hope for democracy in Korea. From now on, to swiftly restore the Republic of Korea, which has been damaged by the ringleader of the rebellion, we need the interest of many people. Please also pay close attention to the upcoming Constitutional Court impeachment trial procedures."
Meanwhile, Jeon recently achieved the distinction of being selected as an "Outstanding Member of the National Assembly Audit" by the Democratic Party of Korea, following her selection as an "Outstanding Member of the National Assembly Audit" by the Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice last month.
