Jeonnam Provincial Council Achieves Grade 1 in Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation by Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission
Among Local Councils Nationwide, 'Top Rating'
Perfect Score for Integrity Efforts for Two Consecutive Years
The Jeonnam Provincial Council announced on the 19th that it achieved the highest grade, Grade 1, in the "2024 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions" announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
In the comprehensive integrity assessment of public institutions conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, the provincial council had achieved Grade 2 for four consecutive years since 2019, and this year accomplished the remarkable feat of attaining Grade 1 in overall integrity.
The council analyzed that this achievement was largely due to Chairperson Kim Taekyun, council members, and all staff members fully implementing the anti-corruption efforts evaluation category for two consecutive years, achieving a 100% score.
Specifically, they analyzed corruption risk factors through organizational diagnosis surveys, operated an anti-corruption integrity task force led directly by the chairperson, and carried out integrity pledge events and campaigns. Additionally, they implemented differentiated and effective measures such as operating a mobile integrity promotion team, producing and uploading anti-corruption promotional content (short-form) on social media, setting themselves apart from other councils.
Chairperson Kim Taekyun stated, "This achievement is the result of our council's various integrity policies and efforts, such as the active operation of the integrity task force, being positively evaluated by the residents," and added, "Based on this trust, the provincial council will always do its best to set an example in the field of integrity, meeting the expectations of the residents."
