The KCC requested the dismissal of former Chairman Nam last August, citing reasons such as neglect of KBS's reckless management and allegations of misuse of corporate credit cards, and President Yoon Suk-yeol approved it. Former Chairman Nam filed a lawsuit to cancel the dismissal and also applied for a suspension of the dismissal order's effect. The suspension application was finally dismissed by the Supreme Court last April.
