Busan Urban Corporation Wins Gold at US LACP Spotlight Awards for Sustainable Management Report
Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, President Shin Chang-ho) won the Gold Award at the 2024 Spotlight Awards hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) for its 2023 Sustainability Management Report published this year.
The LACP Spotlight Awards is a global communication production competition where the League of American Communications Professionals has been evaluating sustainability reports, annual reports, and more since 2001, awarding outstanding companies.
Busan Metropolitan Corporation scored 98 out of 100 points across six categories: first impression, content composition, design, creativity, clarity, and appropriateness, placing it within the Top 100 among all awardees.
The Sustainability Management Report includes BMC’s ESG management strategy and the activities and achievements in the environmental, social, and governance sectors. It was prepared according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, an international guideline for sustainability reporting, to disclose sustainability performance more transparently.
This year, BMC received the Porter Award in the ESG Disclosure Excellence category at the 11th CSV·ESG Porter Awards for the excellence of its first-ever sustainability report since its establishment and its various ESG management efforts.
