On the 18th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety declared Yeoju City, along with Pyeongtaek, Yongin, Icheon, Anseong, Hwaseong in Gyeonggi Province, and Eumseong County in Chungbuk Province, as special disaster areas for prompt recovery and relief efforts.
The areas declared as special disaster zones will receive additional national treasury support, and affected residents will benefit from indirect aids such as deferral of national and local tax payments and reductions in public utility fees. Yeoju City stated that it is actively promoting these benefits to ensure that affected farmers do not miss out on the support.
