POSCO Future M Obtains Re-Certification as a Family-Friendly Company

On the 18th, POSCO Future M was named a '2024 Family-Friendly Company' by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, maintaining its qualification until 2027. Since first obtaining certification in 2016, the company has continuously held the certification for over 10 years through extensions and re-certifications. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family grants certification to companies or public institutions that operate related systems in an exemplary manner to promote the creation of family-friendly work environments, and the certification is valid for three years.
POSCO Future M operates family-friendly systems tailored to the life cycle stages from marriage to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare to enhance employee welfare. This year, the company increased congratulatory allowances for marriage and childbirth and strengthened support for marriage and childbirth to address the low birthrate issue by providing congratulatory gifts to children entering elementary school. Additionally, it operates daycare centers for employees' children in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, and Gwangyang, Jeonnam, where its major business sites are located, and provides separate support funds to employees with family members who have disabilities.
In particular, POSCO Future M was the first within the POSCO Group to implement a flexible working system that adjusts working hours from Monday to Thursday, allowing for shorter working hours on Friday, resulting in very high employee satisfaction. Furthermore, the company operates a staggered commuting system that adjusts start and end times to accommodate employees' diverse work and lifestyles.
