Gwangju Gwangsan-gu, Sustainable Job Special Zone Policy Forum
To Be Held at Yoon Sangwon Hall, District Office on the 23rd
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju announced on the 17th that it will hold a policy forum on the Sustainable Job Zone on the 7th floor of the district office's Yoon Sangwon Hall on the 23rd.
The forum, themed "How Far Has the Gwangsan-gu Sustainable Job Zone Come?" will feature Professor Chae Junho of the Department of Business Administration at Jeonbuk National University, who will present on the necessity and future direction of the job zone in Gwangsan-gu. Park Myungjun, Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Labor Institute, will serve as moderator and lead an open discussion. There will also be a Q&A session to hear citizens' opinions and address their questions.
The Sustainable Job Zone is a core policy of the 8th popularly elected administration in Gwangsan-gu, aiming to establish a sustainable job model that overcomes complex and diverse crises in our society, such as polarization, inequality, and low birth rates, and to spread this model throughout the region.
The district plans to organize and analyze the content of citizen-participatory social dialogues and publish a "Green Paper" around March next year, containing questions (agendas) related to sustainable jobs. Based on this, a "White Paper" (policy report) with answers (solutions) to sustainable jobs will be published in the first half of next year, and in the second half, a business implementation plan will be created and pilot projects will be launched.
District Mayor Park Byungkyu said, "This forum will serve as a platform for communication, where citizens, local labor-management-government representatives, and experts can review and evaluate the current status of the Sustainable Job Zone, share various opinions, and secure momentum for policy implementation."
