Iksan-si to Conduct Safety Inspections of 'Gongjungwiseong Businesses' Until the 20th
47 Establishments Including Lodging and Bathhouse Businesses Targeted
On the 16th, Iksan City in Jeonbuk announced that it will conduct safety inspections on 35 lodging establishments and 12 bathhouses by the 20th to prevent winter fires.

Minor issues found during the inspection will be addressed immediately on-site, while serious matters will be continuously monitored for supplementation and improvement.
Previously, the city conducted joint inspections with related agencies targeting lodging establishments, bathhouses, and nursing hospitals. Along with the Iksan Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, and Korea Gas Safety Corporation, they checked ▲ fire prevention equipment ▲ safety of electrical and gas facilities ▲ compliance with disaster response manuals.

Chae Suhun, head of the Hygiene Division, said, “Winter poses a high fire risk due to increased use of heating devices and dry weather. Since lodging establishments and bathhouses are public facilities used by unspecified many people, we will do our best in the inspections to ensure citizens can use them safely.”
