Conducting Education, Field Trips, Consulting, and Projects
Daejeon City announced that it is recruiting local universities to participate in the "High School-University Linked Strategic Industry Talent Development" and "High School-University Linked Club Operation" programs until the 25th.
This initiative is a pilot project being promoted by Daejeon City, which was designated as a leading area for the Special Education Development Zone on February 28.
The "High School-University Linked Strategic Industry Talent Development" program will include education, field trips, consulting, projects, and presentations in four major strategic industries, regional specialized industries, and three global sectors.
In addition, the "High School-University Linked Club Operation" program will offer mentoring and workshops in three areas: regional specialized industries, entrepreneurship (invention) and hobbies, and living labs.
Universities wishing to participate can apply online through Daejeon Biz, Daejeon City's SME support portal, by the 25th. The city will announce the final list of participating universities on the 31st after the first round of document review and the second round of presentations.
Kim Nakcheol, Director of the Education Policy Strategy Bureau, said, "The Special Education Development Zone is a policy to foster local talent and support settlement through collaboration between Daejeon City and the Office of Education," adding, "Through this project, we will strive to nurture talent for the region's strategic industries and achieve sustainable economic development."
