The trail stretches 450 meters from Yongmin Bridge to Gonje Bridge along the Buyongcheon greenbelt area in Yonghyeon-dong, created to bring change to the green space that previously served only as a scenic area.
Specifically, Uijeongbu City increased the underground height of trees to secure openness, and applied sand soil pavement and coir rope boundaries to create a nature-friendly walking environment. Benches and wooden tables were placed at main resting spots and along the path so that citizens can relax while enjoying views of Buyongcheon.
At the site, Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “The Buyongcheon trail is not just a passageway but a space to walk while feeling close to nature in daily life,” adding, “We will continue to expand resting areas in harmony with nature and build a sustainable green network.”
