50-Year-Old Employee Dies During Equipment Inspection at Hyundai Steel Dangjin Steelworks
A worker fatality occurred at Hyundai Steel's Dangjin Steelworks.
According to Hyundai Steel on the 13th, around 8 p.m. the previous day, an employee A (50) was found collapsed outside the steelmaking plant at Dangjin Steelworks in Dangjin, Chungnam, and was transported to a hospital but passed away.
A, who was in charge of equipment, is known to have gone to the site that day to check external equipment.
The police and labor authorities plan to investigate Hyundai Steel for the exact circumstances of the accident and possible violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
