Gangbuk-gu Signs Medical Support Agreement with Seoul Cheok Hospital for Vulnerable Groups
Partial Reduction of Copayment for Eligible Recipients
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced on the 13th that it has signed a business agreement with Seoul Spine Hospital to improve medical and social welfare services for the medically vulnerable groups in the area.

View original imageThe agreement, held on the 10th, was established to reduce out-of-pocket expenses such as examination fees, surgery fees, hospitalization fees, and integrated nursing care service costs for recipients of Medical Aid Types 1 and 2 and the near-poor class, specifically for conditions like knee osteoarthritis, spinal, joint, and shoulder diseases.
According to the agreement, the district will identify and recommend eligible recipients through local community centers, while the hospital will provide specialized medical services. In this process, a portion of the out-of-pocket expenses will be waived to alleviate the financial burden on local residents.
Lee Deok-joo, Chief Director of Seoul Spine Hospital, said, “We are pleased to sign this agreement as part of our social contribution activities,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate with Gangbuk-gu to provide practical help in eliminating medical blind spots.”
