Faker Wins TGA 'Esports Player of the Year' Award for Second Consecutive Year
Team T1 Selected as the 'Best eSports Team'
At the world's largest gaming awards, The Game Awards (TGA), T1's 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok was named 'Esports Player of the Year.' This marks his second consecutive year receiving the honor.
Faker was announced as the winner of the 'Best Esports Player' category at the 2024 TGA ceremony held on the 12th (local time) at the Peacock Theater in LA.
T1 won the League of Legends (LoL) World Championship (Worlds) again this year, following last year's victory. As the team captain, Faker was recognized for his outstanding achievements in the LoL esports scene for over a decade and was inducted as a founding member into the 'Hall of Legends,' launched by Riot Games this year.
Faker also received the 'Best Esports Player' award at the 2023 TGA.
