Gyeonggi-do Seeks Crisis Measures for Tourism Market Related to 'Gyeomryeong'
Gyeonggi Province has taken measures to overcome the crisis in the local tourism market, which is expected to face difficulties due to the impact of the emergency martial law situation.
On the 12th, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced that on the 11th, they held an "Emergency Meeting with Local Tourism Industry Stakeholders to Respond to the Crisis of Foreign Tourists After the Declaration and Lifting of Martial Law" at the main conference room of the Gyeonggi Research Institute.
About 30 public and private stakeholders related to tourism in the province attended the meeting, including ▲major inbound travel agencies such as the Korea Association of Travel Agents, Gyeonggi Tourism Association, YJ Tour DMC, and Travel Bus Co., ▲tourist destinations frequently visited by overseas tourists such as Petite France in Gapyeong and Korean Folk Village in Yongin, and ▲major accommodation providers such as Gimpo Marina Bay. Local travel agencies in China, Singapore, and Taiwan also participated online via Zoom.

Kim Sang-su, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "In response to the international tourism crisis caused by the declaration and lifting of martial law, we will prepare preemptive response measures through public-private cooperation so that foreign tourists can visit Gyeonggi Province with peace of mind."
