KOCCA to Hold Next Year's Support Project Briefing on the 17th
1:1 On-Site Consultations Conducted by Department
The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) will hold a support project briefing session on the 17th at the Grand Ballroom Halla of Seoul Dragon City in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, together with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
KOCCA annually conducts support project briefing sessions to enhance policy understanding and encourage participation among domestic content industry stakeholders. The agency will announce key promotion directions and introduce detailed project plans by sector. One-on-one on-site consultations by department will also be available.
A KOCCA official stated regarding the introduction of detailed project plans by sector, "We plan to explain by categorizing into cultural and tourism technology promotion (R&D), content export, broadcasting and video (broadcasting and animation), new game technologies (games and new technology convergence content), content IP promotion (story, character, comics, webtoons, music, fashion), and content foundation (corporate fostering, talent development, regional content promotion, financial support)." Regarding the one-on-one on-site consultations by department, the official added, "Consultation booths will be operated with department representatives attending in person to help industry stakeholders resolve their questions."
KOCCA aims to discover excellent content IPs and support their entry into the global stage to keep pace with the rising global status of K-content and lead sustainable industry growth. The agency is also accelerating experiments to nurture future content such as new technology convergence content. A KOCCA official said, "Next year, we plan to strengthen support evenly by genre and function to develop excellent content IPs and expand the global reach of K-content."
