Hyundai Motor Securities Conducts 'Sharing Love Briquettes' Volunteer Activity with Employees
Hyundai Motor Securities announced on the 10th that it conducted a ‘Sharing Love Briquettes’ volunteer activity with employee participation on the 6th to support the warm winter of neighbors living in Guryong Village, Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
This volunteer activity has been Hyundai Motor Securities’ representative volunteer work conducted annually since 2012, and this year it was organized as part of Hyundai Motor Securities’ ongoing ‘ESG management.’ Following last year, with the added rise in briquette prices amid the economic downturn, the purpose of supporting the residents of Guryong Village who must endure the severe cold season was further emphasized as corporate briquette sponsorships have decreased.
This year, 46 employees including President Bae Hyung-geun of Hyundai Motor Securities participated in the activity, personally delivering 2,400 briquettes to the elderly residents of Guryong Village, and donated a total of 21,200 briquettes including those purchased. The cost of purchasing the briquettes was funded by donations from Hyundai Motor Securities employees and company matching funds.
