Na Kyung-won: "Choo Kyung-ho an accomplice in treason? Prosecute the entire ruling party"
"Intimidation of Ruling Party Politicians"
"Democratic Party Focused Only on 'Making Lee Jae-myung President'"
"Need for Constitutional Amendment Discussion... Agreement Possible Within a Month"
Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "Do not focus solely on 'making Lee Jae-myung president,'" while also advocating for the need for constitutional reform.
On the 10th, Na posted on her social media account, "They have paralyzed the government by impeaching ministers, the chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, the head of the Board of Audit and Inspection, and the chief prosecutor of the Central District Prosecutors' Office, and now they are paralyzing and intimidating the government through indiscriminate accusations, special investigations, and impeachment." She added, "They say they will accuse former floor leader Choo Kyung-ho of being an accomplice to treason. In short, this is intimidation against ruling party politicians," and said, "They should just accuse all ruling party lawmakers."
She continued, "They say they will accuse and impeach Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and cabinet members. In short, this is government paralysis," and asked, "Who will take responsibility for the threats to national security and the damage to the national economy caused by this?" She then said, "Now it is time to calmly resolve this according to the constitution and the law," and asked, "Shouldn't the Democratic Party of Korea not only focus on early elections to make Lee Jae-myung president but also work together to build a more mature liberal democracy in the Republic of Korea?"
Na also stated, "Then let us declare the end of the 1987 Constitution. Let us end the five-year single-term presidential system that grants king-like powers," and added, "Let us also limit the omnipotent parliamentary power that has no checks and balances. Only constitutional reform of the power structure can prevent the repetitive harms of such unfortunate national situations." She further said, "Let us quickly discuss constitutional reform now. I believe that an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties can be reached in about a month. Let us make a decision."
Earlier, on the 5th, the Democratic Party submitted a resolution to the National Assembly urging the expulsion of floor leader Choo, and the next day, they accused him of being an accomplice to treason with President Yoon Suk-yeol to the National Investigation Headquarters. They are also putting all their efforts into impeaching President Yoon. However, the People Power Party stated, "Holding the presidential election quickly is not the only solution," and expressed the view that "only constitutional reform can prevent the repetitive harms of unfortunate national situations."

Meanwhile, Na was reportedly mentioned as a candidate for the People Power Party floor leader. However, after a senior members' meeting on the morning of the same day, she said, "Among senior lawmakers, given the seriousness of the situation, there was talk that someone with floor leader experience would be appropriate, so that various complex issues can be resolved promptly," and added, "In that sense, opinions have converged that lawmaker Kwon Seong-dong is appropriate."
