The Yeongju Cultural Tourism Foundation successfully concluded a traditional wedding ceremony at Seonbi World Pungnyu Hall on the 7th.
This event was organized to recreate the fading traditional wedding culture and to promote the value of Korea's unique traditional culture.
The wedding couple, residing in Hyucheon 2-dong, Yeongju City, held the ceremony at 2 p.m. that day. The event became even more meaningful as not only the families of the bride and groom but also visitors to Seonbi World attended together.
The traditional wedding followed authentic ritual procedures such as Jeonanrye, Gyobaerye, and Hapgeunnye. In particular, the traditional wedding attire, wedding gifts, and paebaek food were meticulously prepared based on thorough historical verification, adding authenticity to the traditional culture.
Travel journalists and foreign influencers visiting Yeongju observed the entire traditional wedding process and directly experienced the excellence of Korean traditional culture. One foreign influencer shared, “The vibrant colors of the hanbok and the delicacy of the traditional rituals were impressive.”
