Shinan-gun, Graduation Ceremony for Marriage Immigrant 'Interpretation and Translation Training Program'
"Overcoming Language Barriers and Contributing to Regional Development"
On the 7th, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 9th that it held a completion ceremony for the 'Interpreter and Translator Training Program' conducted for marriage immigrants to solve language communication problems in multicultural society.
According to the county, the program, which started on September 21 and was held 12 times every Saturday, was attended by 17 marriage immigrants with excellent Korean language skills. The education included not only Korean interpretation and translation but also training to enhance the ability to cope with various situations that may arise in a multicultural society.

County Governor Park Woo-ryang said, “This training is significant in that marriage immigrants have actively participated in the local community and developed the capacity to contribute to the local economy and social development,” adding, “We will continue to implement various policies for the stable settlement of multicultural families.”
