Professor Han Seungheon of Yonsei University Appointed as the 58th President of the Korean Society of Civil Engineers
Professor Han Seungheon from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Yonsei University has been elected as the 58th president of the Korean Society of Civil Engineers.
The society announced on the 9th that it held a nomination committee and an extraordinary general meeting at the Construction Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 6th, where Professor Han was elected as president.
Professor Han graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at Seoul National University and earned his master's and doctoral degrees from Colorado State University in the United States. He also served as the president of the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology.

Professor Han's term will begin in January 2026 and last for one year. Next year, Professor Choi Dongho from Hanyang University, who was elected last year, will serve as the 57th president of the Korean Society of Civil Engineers.
