The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has prepared a variety of winter vacation safety programs designed to prevent safety accidents that may occur in educational settings and daily life, and to enhance the ability to respond to emergencies.

View original imageThe Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) Student Safety Experience Center announced on the 9th that it will operate three special programs during the winter vacation at the Busan Student Safety Experience Center: ▲ Multi-child Family Safety Camp ▲ Family and General Public Safety Experience ▲ Safety Experience Job Training for Faculty and Staff.
The ‘Multi-child Family Safety Camp,’ newly established this year to provide safety experience opportunities for families, targets 50 families with two or more elementary school children.
It will be held for five days starting January 13 next year and consists of various programs such as ‘Disaster Safety Experience and Daily Life Safety Experience with Professional Instructors’ and ‘Family Cooperative Experience Activities’ to help protect family safety in daily life.
Those wishing to participate can apply through the ‘Integrated Reservation Portal’ from the 9th to the 17th, and participants will be selected by lottery.
In line with birth promotion policies, this program targeting multi-child families plans to consider expanding its operation based on future participation and satisfaction survey results.
The ‘Family and General Public Safety Experience,’ operated to provide hands-on safety education and related knowledge acquisition, is designed for children aged 4 and 5, students, guardians, and the general public.
Six programs are prepared: child safety, traffic safety, large-scale traffic, daily life safety, disaster safety, and first aid. The program runs four sessions per day. To ensure smooth and safe experiences, the maximum number of participants per session is limited to 80?100 people.
The operation period is from January 13 to 24 and from February 3 to 21 next year. Those wishing to participate can apply on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on the 18th through the ‘Integrated Reservation Portal’ and the ‘Busan Student Safety Experience Center website.’
The ‘Safety Experience Job Training for Faculty and Staff’ program is designed to enhance the crisis response ability and safety education capacity of faculty and staff.
From January 6 next year, a three-day program will be held for 288 teachers and education professionals, and from January 9 for two days, a program will be held for 192 local government officials and education public employees.
