Geumcheon-gu public officials are excited.
This is the result of actively promoting proactive administration by selecting and rewarding employees who contributed to regional development with a positive attitude.
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it has selected seven ‘Outstanding Proactive Public Officials for the Second Half of 2024’ who carried out their duties proactively with creativity and expertise.
The selected outstanding proactive public officials include Team Leader Lee Dong-gyu and Officer Lee Ho-jun from the Urban Planning Division, Officer Park Hyo-jung from the Parks and Greenery Division, Officer Song Jae-hwan from the Regional Economy Division, Officer Park Hyo-min from the Medical Affairs Division, and Officers Shin Dong-gyu and Park Sang-ho from the Administrative Support Division.
The district evaluated 17 excellent cases recommended by each department based on five indicators including resident perception, task difficulty, and potential for expansion, and selected five cases by combining evaluations from residents, employees, and judges.
Subsequently, a Proactive Administration Committee was held for in-depth and fair evaluation of the five selected cases. The project managers presented their projects directly and, through Q&A sessions, the final outstanding case grades were determined.
The grand prize was awarded to Team Leader Lee Dong-gyu and Officer Lee Ho-jun from the Urban Planning Division for ‘Relocation and Development Promotion of the Air Force Base Site.’
Team Leader Lee Dong-gyu and Officer Lee Ho-jun pushed forward the relocation of the Air Force base site, a long-standing resident wish in Geumcheon-gu for over 80 years. Through proactive and thorough legal reviews, they proposed the project to Seoul City first and built cooperative relationships through multiple consultations with related agencies including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, and Seoul City. As a result, the Air Force base site was selected as a target site for the Ministry of Land’s Spatial Innovation Zone pilot project, enabling the project to proceed.
The excellence award went to Officer Park Hyo-jung from the Parks and Greenery Division for ‘Signing a Green Space Utilization Contract for the Cultural Ryu Clan Land Related to the Creation of a Climate Change Safe Park,’ and Officer Song Jae-hwan from the Regional Economy Division for ‘Monthly Regular Issuance and Refund Event of Geumcheon G-Valley Love Gift Certificates.’
The encouragement award was given to Officer Park Hyo-min from the Medical Affairs Division for ‘Geumcheon-gu Private Postpartum Care Center Usage Fee Reduction Project,’ and Officers Shin Dong-gyu and Park Sang-ho from the Administrative Support Division for ‘Lobby Renovation of the Comprehensive Government Building.’
All selected outstanding proactive public officials will receive benefits including three days of reward leave, the highest grade of performance pay based on grade criteria, transfer to desired departments, and welfare points.
