Zelensky: "Received 2nd Batch of F-16 Fighters from Denmark"
Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, announced on the 7th (local time) that he received the second batch of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) that day, President Zelensky stated, "This is an exemplary case of leadership that saves lives, distinguishing Denmark."
He explained that the six F-16 fighter jets provided by Denmark as the first batch last year are already in use, protecting the Ukrainian people and infrastructure from Russia.
He emphasized, "Now our air defense system has been further strengthened," adding, "If all partners had acted as decisively as this, Russia's terrorism would already have been impossible."
In September, Troels Lund Poulsen, Denmark's Minister of Defense, announced that the second batch of F-16 fighter jets would be delivered to Ukraine by the end of this year.
However, Minister Poulsen did not specify how many jets would be deployed to Ukraine.
