At 1 a.m. on the 7th, Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, met with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo at the Prime Minister's residence in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, while Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, directly communicated with citizens in front of the National Assembly.
While the ruling party showed moves to minimize the shock to state affairs following the emergency martial law situation and President Yoon Seok-yeol's national address, the opposition party made a last-ditch effort to break the ruling party's united front against the impeachment motion of President Yoon and to raise public support for it.
Leader Han completed an urgent meeting with Prime Minister Han from around 11:35 a.m. to 12:55 p.m., lasting 80 minutes, and returned to the National Assembly around 1:10 p.m.
After the 80-minute emergency meeting with Prime Minister Han in the afternoon, Leader Han told reporters he met that "Prime Minister Han said he would take care of the situation more carefully and steadily and ensure that the public does not feel anxious," and that the party and government agreed to communicate closely to take care of the livelihood economy.
However, when a reporter asked if the responsibility prime minister system was discussed, Leader Han avoided answering, saying, "I will stop here."
People Power Party lawmakers are also expected to resume a closed-door caucus from 2 p.m., hear the results of the prime minister meeting from Leader Han, and finalize the response direction regarding the impeachment motion against President Yoon and the special investigation bill vote on Kim Geon-hee.

A middle-aged man, Mr. A, who opposed the Democratic Party, poured oil on the asphalt and charged toward Leader Lee but was immediately subdued by three police officers. Even while being subdued by the police, he expressed strong opposition to the Democratic Party, saying, "Is this a country where a few human trash control the nation?"
Leader Lee, who was stabbed with a weapon in Busan last January, was again exposed to a dangerous situation but returned inside the National Assembly after finishing his rounds outside the fence.
As Leader Han and Leader Lee showed different schedules that day, the People Power Party and the Democratic Party are facing the 'impeachment vote' in different ways.
The People Power Party conveys the situation through individual lawmakers or Leader Han himself after caucuses and meetings with key figures, avoiding answers to sensitive questions. The caucuses are held either with only opening remarks made public or entirely behind closed doors.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party holds caucuses in the Rotunda Hall and conducts relay condemnation rallies to promote the logic supporting impeachment. The Democratic Party also broadcasts its events live through its own YouTube channel, and individual lawmakers are conducting interviews with broadcasting stations.
