View original imageOn the 6th, commissioners Song Hyun-ju, Hong Bong-ju, Shin Dae-hee, and Han Sam-seok released a statement saying, "President Yoon Seok-yeol, who defined the National Assembly, a constitutional institution, as a pro-North anti-state organization and declared the ordinary lives of the people a national emergency, must be dismissed in the name of the people," adding, "This is a clear violation of the Constitution and constitutes the crime of rebellion under criminal law. He must be punished without fail."
They criticized, "How can a person who is the president order the armed forces, which are supposed to protect the safety and lives of the people, to storm the National Assembly and advance into the plenary hall?" and said, "The absurd arguments put forth by a party entrusted with the grave responsibility of defending democracy, without adhering to democratic requirements and procedures, are precisely anti-democratic acts that must be 'eradicated.'"
