Samsung Asset Management Appoints Former BlackRock Head Park Myung-je as ETF Business Division Chief
Former BlackRock Asset Management Korea CEO Park Myung-je will lead Samsung Asset Management's exchange-traded fund (ETF) business division.
According to the asset management industry on the 6th, Samsung Asset Management carried out an organizational restructuring on the same day and appointed former CEO Park as the head of the ETF business division.
The term of Ha Ji-won, the vice president who previously served as the head of the ETF business division, ended this month. It has been one year since Ha was appointed as the head of the ETF business division last year.
Born in 1971, Park graduated with a bachelor's degree in history from Myongji University. He joined KGI Securities in 1988.

After moving to BlackRock in 2004, he took charge of iShares ETF sales in Korea in 2014. In 2017, he was responsible for Northeast Asia sales. He was appointed CEO of BlackRock Asset Management Korea last year but resigned in October this year.
