Incheon City to Establish 'Blockchain Hub City'... Blockchain Industry Survey Conducted
Incheon City announced on the 6th that it will conduct a blockchain industry survey targeting local companies to expand the blockchain ecosystem base.
This survey is part of the "Incheon Blockchain Hub City Development Project," promoted in collaboration with Incheon Technopark, aimed at investigating the status of blockchain technology companies and related demand companies in the region and collecting data to strengthen the industrial ecosystem.
The survey will be conducted by Mega Research Co., Ltd., a management consulting and public opinion research specialist, throughout December via online and on-site methods. In particular, a full survey will be conducted targeting blockchain technology development service companies and companies wishing to adopt blockchain to identify the unique blockchain status of Incheon.
The survey items include overall business management aspects such as workforce structure, sales, and investment status, as well as practical needs of companies such as demand for blockchain-related support projects, educational needs, and market prospects.
Additionally, the survey questions are designed to be comparable with the blockchain industry surveys conducted nationwide by the government, enabling easy comparison of the status between Incheon City and other regions.
Blockchain refers to a data tampering prevention technology based on distributed computing technology. Amid the global digital transformation era, South Korea's IT industry trend is evolving based on blockchain, and Incheon City also plans to proactively respond to technological changes such as Web3.0 and NFT (non-fungible digital virtual assets) in line with this trend.
